It's Curtains Act 2 Test Drive

1) CURTAINS UP
You’ve just woken up in a small dressing room, which is certainly not where you went to bed last night. Actually, do you even remember going to sleep…? Regardless, this isn't where you last were, and if you leave your room you’re going to find a lot of other people in the same state.Go out and socialize! Most of these people may be strangers, but you’re gonna all have to get used to one another. And who knows? There may actually be a familiar face in the crowd.
2) THIS PETTY PACE
By now, you're acquainted with everybody here and you're slowly growing bored. Bored enough to kill? Hopefully not. You'd better try to find something else to do. You can always go hang out with your castmates, or maybe try and whip something up in the kitchen! There’s also a music room to keep you busy! I sure hope you like music.3) BREAK A LEG
Comedies are fun and all, but that’s not quite what we’re about here. You’ve all just been handed this week’s motive. What do you make of it? Is it one that might actually tempt you to kill, or did you get off lightly this time? Either way, maybe you’d better look around the room and see who else is having a rough time.4) CURTAIN
It was bound to happen eventually. Someone is dead, and now it's time to go off and investigate. Were they close to you? Are you, perhaps, feeling guilty? Either way, it's probably best not to leave anyone alone right now.5) CUE MUSIC
Feelings in a murder-opera can get pretty gosh darn intense. Sometimes you’ve just got to let it out. And hey, if you sing a song about whatever’s going on in your head, maybe someone will hear and come help you? Either way, this is a musical – there’s not really any reason not to sing. [Mod Note: The song mechanic is meant to be fluid and simple. You do not have to produce your own song lyrics, nor are you required to use show tunes (although we do encourage it!). If you want to rewrite existing lyrics to fit the situation, go for it! Anything goes - if Mumford and Sons expresses your character’s current emotions, then break out the banjos. We want to keep the musical mechanic as fun and simple as we can to encourage our players to use it as much as they like.]

[He wipes off some cookie dough.]
This makes for a strange rebellion.

[Yeah she's still eating. It's unclear if she doesn't think it's dangerous or if she just has a very low disregard for her own life]
At least it's tasty.

We can't fight against the stage managers if we are hungry. We should take some extra cookies for morale in our next meeting.

My thoughts exactly. Looks like they're done.
[She dawns a pair of oven mitts and opens the oven to pull out the two sheets inside.]

Is this what you do in your spare time? Bake?

[Or resources, really.]

[With this, Angus' face falls. He has been going on for weeks about saving his kingdom and doing actual princely duties, but with the time spent here, his hopes aren't high anymore.]
Do you suppose anyone knows where we have been taken?
no subject
Maybe, maybe not. Maybe we'll go back and time won't have passed at all.
[They have to keep hope somehow]

[The cookie sheets are laid on the stove top, the cookies on top a perfect golden brown]
Where did you go?

[The horrors he witnessed descend upon Dunkeld...those zombies and the eagles he had always believed to be allies...a man without a magic weapon would easily give up at seeing such a sight.]
I don't know what he plans to do with all that power, but it cannot be good.

[A small grimace pulls at the corner of her mouth]
Did you make it back?

[Ralathor had stated as such. If it were possible, it would require a powerful artifact of their own.]
But this is still Fife, and even in the past, I consider it my home. I swore I wouldn’t turn away until I finally defeated that wicked wizard.

[She seems like she means it. Sigyn understands devotion to a cause, no matter how hopeless others think it to be.]
But don't give up hope, perhaps there is still a way to return.

[He strides to the sink and drops the spatula, then looks at the wall before him, blocking whatever view he has to the outside world.]
I am the final defender
The last hope for my galaxy
Dundee will arise from evil demise
I'm the one with the power to win
The Battle for Eternity
[He steps back and turns to face Sigyn.]
Everyone in the land of Fife depends on me. The resistance, the peasants suffering under the rule of Zargothrax, the peaceful creatures of the land...I can't stay here forever!

[Sigyn takes a step beside him, holding out a cookie]
We will get out of here, alive. We'll get back to those people who need us. They can't hold us forever.
