act 3 pre-show mingle!

Greetings, friends, and welcome to the third and final act of It's Curtains! We hope you're all as excited as we are! The school is prepped and ready for your arrival and we are eager as anything to get started. The show will be starting soon (May 30th) with a mingle log but before the curtain goes up, let's get to know each other a little better.

You can use this post to introduce yourselves, exchange contact info, start plotting, the usual shenaniganry. Feel free to provide your contact information (plurk, discord, ect) and don't forget to follow the stagemanagers- it'll make things easier when your time comes. The discord is, of course, completely optional and any important information posted there will also be posted on the mod plurk.

Since we have some new faces to murdergames themselves, here's a quick rundown of how this weekend will go down: on Sunday (5/30) the opening log will go up and everyone will have several hours to mingle and explore and thread. At around 5 pm or 6 pm EST a top level will go up to introduce your assistant director, who will be effectively in charge of the students. She'll hold a short q&a and then, upon her exit, her office hours will open. The following Monday the weekly log will go up and Peace Week will commence, meaning there will not be a case or a motive until Week 2.

Antonio Salieri | Mozart l'Opera Rock | Nikki

Why hello there! I'm Nikki, my pronouns are she/her, and I'll be bringing you Antonio Salieri from Mozart: l'Opera Rock, a decade-oldish French rock opera about Mozart's life where everything is just a train wreck in slow motion but with extra ✨glitter✨. Also a creepy clown. What you need to know about Salieri is that, like with all Fantasy Salieris before him, he is Incredibly Jealous of Mozart, but in this version he gets thrown across the stage by dancers in bondage leather for it. Musical theater, am I right???? Anyway, the music itself is pretty dang great, with official music videos that really don't have much to do with the actual plot but are still fun. If you're a fan of Princess Tutu, you might be familiar with this amv, whose music is from this musical (appropriately, it's the Bondage Dancer song.)

I'm really looking forward to playing with everyone!! This is Baby's First Murdergame, so I'm very excited to see how this all shakes out. Probably with no trauma whatsoever. That being said, Salieri will eventually come with some suicide idealization warnings, as well as bad decisions with knives on those memory regains, so please LMK if you'd like to opt out of that business. I've fallen down a steep rabbit hole to see if it's possible for Sweeney to have heard of Salieri, but either way, class differences aside, they have the (dis?)advantage of being closer in time period (and age) to each other than any of these literal children!
