Greetings, friends, and welcome to the third and final act of It's Curtains! We hope you're all as excited as we are! The school is prepped and ready for your arrival and we are eager as anything to get started. The show will be starting soon (May 30th) with a mingle log but before the curtain goes up, let's get to know each other a little better.

You can use this post to introduce yourselves, exchange contact info, start plotting, the usual shenaniganry. Feel free to provide your contact information (plurk, discord, ect) and don't forget to follow the stagemanagers- it'll make things easier when your time comes. The discord is, of course, completely optional and any important information posted there will also be posted on the mod plurk.

Since we have some new faces to murdergames themselves, here's a quick rundown of how this weekend will go down: on Sunday (5/30) the opening log will go up and everyone will have several hours to mingle and explore and thread. At around 5 pm or 6 pm EST a top level will go up to introduce your assistant director, who will be effectively in charge of the students. She'll hold a short q&a and then, upon her exit, her office hours will open. The following Monday the weekly log will go up and Peace Week will commence, meaning there will not be a case or a motive until Week 2.

As for Orpheus himself, all you really need to know can be summed up in this pair of songs but the long and short of it is that he's a fantastically optimistic sweetheart with a heart of gold and a voice blessed by the gods, and he's also got a kind of poor grasp of basic social skills. You know, things like "not proposing to women he's literally just met". He's doing his best!! Please be nice to him.

Hello, everyone! My name is Aspen, age 26. My pronouns are they/them and I just moved so please bare with me because my brain is goo. I hung out here during Round two as Ariel/Mephisto, the resident demon dad. Previously I've played a dwarf Dad at Airlocked, and a demi-god Dad at Foolish Mortals.

This time I'm doing something completely different, though, and playing Revue Starlight's own alpha lesbian, Maya Tendo!

Seriously, Revue Starlight is extremely gay. Every time I think to myself "maybe I just imagined how gay it was" I rewatch it and no. It's just that homosexual.

Anyway, Maya Tendo is the top performer at the Seisho Music Academy. She's a hard worker, and often finds herself harder pressed to take breaks. In many ways she comes off as a loner, but she does care for her fellow classmates. Maybe that'll be true at Gershwin? Also she has some... interesting extra-curricular activities and probably has thoughts on giraffes.

I couldn't put my full attention on last round so my activity was rather... lacking, but I'm hoping that's not the case this time, especially with such a fantastic cast to play with!!

This time, I'm bringing in Cassandra from Disney's Tangled: the series... Or Rapunzel's Tangled Adventure, depending on the season (and how much Disney decided to care about the show, which wasn't much).

Cass likes swords, horses, getting in fights, and making sure the princess she's been assigned to as a lady-in-waiting doesn't get herself killed on this week's adventure!! She's got a bit of a chip on her shoulder, so she might get a little terse if she doesn't like someone.

Hey gang! It's Lynsey, who was in last round with Nana Daiba a.k.a. a Very Good Girl Who Has Definitely Done Nothing Wrong In Her Life Ever. This time I am again bringing anime rep by finally making good on my original threat to bring a Love Live character here. And good thing I waited because that gave enough time for some of the newer girls to get a really good anime about them!

This is Rina Tennoji, from the Nijigasaki School Idol Club which is... not technically the third generation of Love Live but kind of a side project? That focuses on solo idols rather than a group? (Though they still sometimes do group songs) Rina's one of the youngest members and she has a pretty stand out gimmick: she usually uses an electronic face mask when performing, and when not performing she has a sketchbook she often puts in front of her face instead. This is because her whole life Rina has struggled with expressing her emotions externally, resulting in her having the same deadpan looking face most of the time save for very subtle changes that not everyone picks up on. (Here's a short anime clip showcasing some of that) So she invented her "Rina-chan Board" to help convey her emotions better. However she won't be having it to start because she's from the anime continuity (which I have to specify because it handles her arc differently than the other continuities) and won't even remember having the board for a while! So you'll all have to excuse her if she's very shy and gives a lot of short responses at first.

...I swear there are no surprises like the one with Nana this time, Love Live's thankfully just a very straight forward show about following your dreams and being really gay, and not about having secret sword fights after school in a long ass time loop (while also being really gay).

I'm Nikki, my pronouns are she/her, and I'll be bringing you Antonio Salieri from Mozart: l'Opera Rock, a decade-oldish French rock opera about Mozart's life where everything is just a train wreck in slow motion but with extra ✨glitter✨. Also a creepy clown. What you need to know about Salieri is that, like with all Fantasy Salieris before him, he is Incredibly Jealous of Mozart, but in this version he gets thrown across the stage by dancers in bondage leather for it. Musical theater, am I right???? Anyway, the music itself is pretty dang great, with official music videos that really don't have much to do with the actual plot but are still fun. If you're a fan of Princess Tutu, you might be familiar with this amv, whose music is from this musical (appropriately, it's the Bondage Dancer song.)

I'm really looking forward to playing with everyone!! This is Baby's First Murdergame, so I'm very excited to see how this all shakes out. Probably with no trauma whatsoever. Hello everyone! I'm Nara (she/her) and I'm bringing back Angus McFife XIII from the Gloryhammer concept albums from R2! He'll think he's from the end of the third album but eventually remember he went through a murdergame before. Fun.

Gloryhammer is basically a bunch of guys writing a cheesy power metal fantasy/sci-fi setting except it's taking place in Literally Scotland and the story is basically so dumb that it becomes awesome. With titles like Space 1992: Rise of the Chaos Wizards and Legends from Beyond the Galactic Terrorvortex, you gotta have some expectations. Angus is the heroic Prince of Fife (a county in real Scotland) who has sworn to defeat the evil wizard Zargothrax through bravery, questing, and cool gear.

Hello! I'm Sam, here for my third round. You may know me as Heather McNamara from Heathers in Round One, who now works at a liminal denny's, or as literal Anne of Cleves from HISTORY I mean Six the Musical in Round Two. And this time, I'm bringing you Farrah, from We Are the Tigers-- mostly to pit R2 against R3 in a death duel at the end of the game.

Farrah's a 15 year old cheerleader, who is, like many teenage girls, very sad and insecure. She doesn't feel comfortable with herself, thinks (KNOWS!!!!) everyone hates her, and as if life isn't messy enough, her mom's just married a new guy, and she's got a new step-sister only a year older than her who she's pretty sure hates her too.

Thankfully, Farrah's found a solution for all of that. Which-- uh-- Farrah comes with a big ol' cw for underage drinking. If you need me to not mention this in my threads with you, please let me know. Anyway, Farrah's decided to cover up her insecurity by becoming the cheer team's resident hot mess. hi i'm jeff, this is my first ever curtains round (but not my first murdergame though it has been........a while) and i'm bringing mumble from happy feet which you all know as that dancing penguin movie directed by the mad max: fury road guy. listen the cinematic paralells are evident if you really watch it right okay.

mumble's a fun little guy, who, like any elijah wood character, is incredibly awkward (said with endearment). he's awful at singing but he can tap his toes real good.

Hello, everyone! I'm Lu, one of the mods here and also your Wonderful Wizard for this round! But that all comes later - my PC for this round is the Balladeer! He's the narrator figure from Stephen Sondheim's Assassins, a chill guy who is friendly and very anti-murder, and also the face NPC from the first round of Curtains! He doesn't fully remember the latter happening yet, but he will! His presence here is totally fine and normal, guys, it's cool. I'm sure it'll be fine! =)

I should say for the record that the Balladeer also leans heavily into the fourth-wall stuff that this game has going on as a whole. Please let me know if you don't want him picking up some basic facts about and/or maybe recognizing some of your characters! Being himself, he's never going to just spill anyone's full narrative to them immediately, but he might point out that, hypothetically, someone here's just got the Dies Irae as their theme and that seems a little ominous.
