BJ came to the christening with bells on.

Literally, he came in full court jester regalia. Lydia came too because she was excited to see plague times. Initially he was just going to bring a sawdust-stuffed sandworm plush for baby Rowan but the Maitlands were worried it was full of termites or something so they convinced him to also bring the crib Adam had just finished when they died.

And then Delia shoved like 80 crystals in his pockets.

Richard was delighted when BJ showed up in full jester garb (Steve McKenzie, on the other hand, was annoyed).

Also he loves Lydia and she would have gotten her own invite to medieval funtime summer camp
