It's been a hot minute since R2, and even longer since R1! And with the strong possibility everyone's going to overcrowd a poor Denny's this weekend (sorry Heather), it might be fun to get down what everyone's been up to in the interim! Where do they live, who have they been hanging out with, what have they been up to? Let's find out, and maybe plan/solidify some new offscreen events!

Summary: Lives with Mephisto, Loki, and Sigyn in a polycule penthouse. Attends therapy on the regular, though he's developed some mild agoraphobia and greatly prefers to not leave the house without someone he knows, or at least in the same general vicinity. More or less has gone back to being a functional adult, though! He even has a job(?) as a freelance researcher, writing papers under a pseudonym as well as conducting online classes.

Summary: Anne of Cleves followed Mephisto to New York City, returning to the stage with her fellow Queens in Six the Musical, because yeah, we're just that meta. She's opened a bar called The Castle, and has an apartment above the bar-- but more often than not she's couch-surfing at the penthouse, where she definitely does not live, but her toothbrush probably does. She also visits Richard's Land frequently. She helped Richard take Evan Hansen home, and has probably seen Evan a lot more than anyone else-- she's just "checking up on him", but he isn't really sure why she needs to keep having bottles of wine with his mom to do that.

Looking for?: Antics. Also, Anne places family above all else, and she considers everyone from R2 her family-- even Beetlejuice, and Evan Hansen. So family shit too.

BJ has been to see the show almost as many times as Mephisto, partly because he's just down the way and partly because he just thinks Anne is neat. He's absolutely obnoxious with his cheering every time Anne's number comes up but it's how he shows he cares.

Summary: "quick and dirty" lyndon says like i didnt prewrite this the second i started feeling sad about h mac

After her time stuck in the opera house, Heather's softened. She was already pretty tame, compared to the other Heathers-- and by the end of her canon, even more so. But her time in a game of death-- a game of death that she, somehow, despite it all, survived-- has made her want to change for good.

Heather recognized that there was work to be done. So she went straight to it-- practicing being more kind to others. More than anything, Heather wants to be someone worthy of her title. The Best Friend. She still struggles to connect with others and has difficulty finding her footing without a leader to follow.

She's put herself to the test countless times. While her job at Liminal Denny's is ultimately not a real serious job, it's taught her to be responsible and stand on her own two feet. She's balanced that with two years in Community College, before transferring to a four-year school to wrap up a degree in Biology-- something that would have made anyone at Westerburg laugh hysterically. Now, she should be finishing up her very last courses, before transferring to Veterinary School.

Instead, something's happened, and her ride to work is MIA, and the substitutes are all awful. Last year, like 40 people showed up to Dennys at the same time and started literally tearing people apart. She's starting to feel sick to her stomach, like something like that's about to happen again... if she can even make it to work on time.

Summary: Lives in a New York penthouse with Loki, Sigyn, and Stephen. Anne of Cleves does not live there, do not listen to what she says. He also definitely didn't steal/wire money for himself to support the family.
May or may not have started a cult on TikTok? Unfortunately has a rat tail.

Other than hanging around the penthouse doing nothing, Meph makes frequent trips to watch Anna perform. Potentially has seen her show the most out of the group? It's only because he's waiting for her to trip and fall on stage one of these days.

He makes very regular trips up to a juvenile detention center to visit Riley. Some of these trips are sanctioned. Some of them are late night, after light's out and he just holds her while she sleeps.
Looking for?: Meph's probably been keeping tabs on everyone, but like. casually. The way your dad tries to be when he's worried about you but doesn't want you to think that he's actually worried.

Summary: After R2, Angus went back to his universe to fix things up in his kingdom, freaked everyone out because he got Evil Stabbed and turned out okay, and invited Christine Canigula to train as a barbarian under the Hootsman's tutalage. He's been giving updates on Fife and making royals visits while giving tours of space and the Land of Unicorns until one day he just disappeared.

It has become friends with Beetlejuice specifically because Jeremy hates it and participates in crime whenever people aren't looking. Don't worry about it!

Summary: So! Shilo went back with Anne of Cleves to New York, where she is currently understudy lady-in-waiting (probably?) for SIX the musical! She's gotten a lot better at playing the piano, and also the salary is pretty generous, which allows for things like "extensive physical therapy to recover from spending several years being poisoned." Back in October, she started dating K Howard! They have by now absolutely moved in together, and she just. Makes music and holds hands with a girl and is trying very hard to get her GED, probably, so she knows about things besides cool bugs and human anatomy. She has also absolutely learned how to ride a horf.

So far I've established that she visits Jeremy pretty regularly to talk about nerd shit and also they've made a mutual pact to go outside and like. Touch grass. She also probably visits a few other people? She's mostly been focusing on getting herself figured out, but she feels like she's actually doing that these days!

Summary: Sigyn and Loki, reunited at the liminal Denny's, moved in with Mephisto and Stephen in their penthouse in New York. Probably the first to admit the four of them are actually in a polycule now after one very well planned out dinner that Loki ruined (and by ruined, we mean accelerated.)

Sigyn and Loki make regular trips to visit the others. These can be sporadic and short as Loki tires very easily and Sigyn is reluctant to go anywhere without her wife. The notable exception to this was a trip she went on with Anne to Germany.

Looking for?: Any trips to visit the others, including seeing shows, going to graduations, or just dropping by to grab dinner with them.

Summary: Went back to Beach City cause it was kind of destroyed and he needed to help rebuild it and also fix the fairly literally dead earth underneath it. He's been SQUIPsitting and getting Little Homeworld up and running since then, and has managed to get therapy with at least 75% less unfortunate kaiju transformations to instigate it.
He probably hasn't had time for more than quick visits to other worlds but you bet he's kept in touch. All the R2's have probably received a slightly obscene number of self-made memes featuring Lion.
A few people probably know he's starting to entertain the idea of a cross-country roadtrip. All thirty-nine states, which has probably been a conversation starter all its own.

Summary: Riley went to juvie! Or, as she insistently corrects, “a Youth Correctional Facility.” She has a strict schedule, but after a year of good behavior, it’s been let up slightly. Everything on her post-round visitation/CMO still stands, except she has more visitation hours, and she’s allowed things like hair ties and scrunches. She has cut ties (or had ties cut with her) with all of the Tigers except for Cairo. She’s spent the last year learning how to crochet. Expect that she’s made you something if you’ve come to visit her, and maybe received something from Mephisto or the others in the penthouse if you haven’t gotten around to it. Overall she’s more relaxed and open with her emotions, even if she has to essentially keep everything that happened in the opera house to herself due to observation! Oops!!

What’s the deal with Farrah missing? Uhhhhhhh no clue, we’ll have to all see together!!

Even though I dropped the ball and never tagged in to her visitation, Sigyn would come visit her pretty frequently. She tries to sneak in contraband for her (nothing like dangerous, but like candy and shit) and will frequently remind Riley that all she has to do is say the word and they will get her out of there.

She's probably also recently told Riley about the polycule. Best to get that out of the way before Riley comes home and finds out on her own.

Character: King Richard of Richard's Land

Round: R2!
Summary: Unfortunately, Richard had a lot of responsibilities to return to, so he went back to his own home after R2 was over. He took Red with him as his new ward, but everyone else gets constantly pestered to come visit him in the 1200s. Do you really want to make him sad by not showing up? :(

Over the last almost year or so, all of the R2's (plus Evan and BJ and "that nice girl from the Denny's") will have gotten invitations to several royal events:

-His wedding (and Roberta's coronation as Queen), about eight weeks after endgame

-Christmas (a two-week long celebration full of feasting and games, also where everyone would have found out he and Bobby were having a baby)

-Tad Cooper's Birthday, early to mid-March (probably not actually his birthday, but Richard missed his friends and wanted one last party before the baby came)

-Prince Rowan's christening, almost 40 weeks to the day after Denny's (with Angus and Anne specifically being asked if they would join Galavant as Rowan's godparents)

-Medieval funtime Summer Camp! This event was specifically planned for all the teens (all of them, even ones he doesn't know yet) to go hunting and swordfighting and ride horses and dance and feast and play games, but there's plenty of fun and feasting for adults as well. This event was probably postponed out of worry for Angus and possibly Nana as well if both of their invites were returned undeliverable, and may have foreshadowed the recent revelation that something is fucky in the state of the world.

GODPARENTS...!!! Angus has brought so many fancy baby supplies and toys. Rowan is going to get a unicorn doll and the best protective charms a baby needs. And then he talked about rebuilding Fife and how to be a good king and stuff.

And he's definitely brought like a dragon steed to befriend Tad Cooper. What a good dragon :)

Summary: After her time in the opera house, Eliza returned home to her family with Valjean and Javert in tow. It was pretty awkward trying to explain to her sister exactly why she was randomly coming home after a month with two older frenchmen but as far as anyone outside the family knows they're boarders (somewhat true) and dear friends of Mrs. Hamilton (very true).

She's been doing a bit of traveling here and there, mostly to Arendelle to see the royal family + Seymour and Winslow + Raoul, since she's pretty constantly busy with raising her numerous kids and doing all her other legacy work. But she writes letters regularly to most of her fellow ex-captives, especially Natalie and Jez. (She also totally went to Burr and Judas's wedding, which is a wild ass sentence.)

Summary: After being left to his own devices for several days at Denny's post-r2, BJ ended up deciding to go back to his home show to see his own found family (regardless of whether they wanted him back or not). He had about a year at that point before he had to go to Korea on top of missing Lydia and the Maitlands, so why shouldn't he go home and hang out with them for a while?

He has taken up every single invitation that's been extended for visitations (especially the ones that weren't for him) so people have been seeing a lot of him since last round! Again, whether they want to or not, there he is. You're all his Best Friends and he's not letting you off the hook that easy.

Character: Prince Billy of Arendelle (formerly Dr. Horrible)

Round: The OG, R1!
Summary: After leaving the Opera House, Billy went back to Arendelle with his wife. They got re-married properly after he spent about a year working for Elsa's approval, during which time he was serving as Arendelle's Royal Engineer. About a year after that, Anna got pregnant with their first, Princess Eliza. When baby Ely was a few months old, Billy was left behind to watch over her and the frightened people of Arendelle when the capital was evacuated and their Queen and Princess left to investigate what happened. Cue events of Frozen 2.

By the time that R2's Denny's trip happened, Anna was Queen and Billy had been promoted to Prince Consort, and they had another bun in the oven who popped out a few months later, and is now about 9 months old - Princess Natalie, who was apparently named after the wrong lesbian, because she is a demon sent from hell to punish her father for his crimes.

When B missed Ely's second birthday bash, Billy might have panicked and started trying to get a stable interdimensional portal system up and running, which, well, is probably more like a semi-reliable, minimally-hazardous, water-powered landline that doesn't work with phone numbers but like, energy fields and maybe a bit of DNA for extra accuracy, to project his voice across time and space to whoever it is he's trying to talk to.

Looking for?: Anything! Billy's not nearly as outgoing as Richard is, but he's not as shy as he was before the opera house either, so he'd keep in touch with his R1 homies (and even the R2s he met, if they wanted to). Talk to me about babies!!

Summary: After r1 ended, B moved to an Unspecified Location with Hans! As long as no one specifies where it is, it can just kinda be nowhere in particular, which works out! He traveled a lot, to visit people and also just for the sake of it, and was a pretty common sight around Arendelle, so it probably didn't take long for people to notice his sudden absence...he'd been noticeably stressed after learning about r2, and would have said as much to anyone who asked, but he didn't really tell anyone that he was planning to go anywhere.

Character: The SQUIP / SQUIPnel / Cobalt Spinel

Round: 2
Summary: SQUIPnel (which typically goes by Spinel these days if the OG Spinel isn't around) has not generally been in touch with most people from r2! It likely sees Steven occasionally due to living in Little Homeschool, and also keeps in touch with Spinel and Squaro (and Jeremy to a lesser extent), but otherwise most people have not heard from it since the end of the round unless they actively seek it out.

It's just going about its life as a new student, learning how to be an actual person alongside a bunch of other gems doing the same thing. It has a couple of gem friends now - Mocha Pearl and Moss Agate - who anybody that visited it or encountered it on one of its forced visits to Jeremy might have seen.

Summary: Rian made me put him here. He's doing whatever the fuck he did after canon, I guess, except that he spends a lot of time in Richard's Kingdom too and also Anne of Cleves is fucking his mom.

Summary: THE ORIGINAL SECRET MURDER LESBIAN BABYYYYY after R1, with help from the Balladeer, D-ne took her friends from their dead-end cancelled story and moved to Precure world with Hime! After a year or so to adjust to being a Real Person, she and her friends enrolled in university. She's in her last year of it now, going for a degree in Journalism and Communication, so she's super busy!! But she stops by the liminal Denny's often for late-night study food. (She can get there through something something novel narration, she literally just uses any leftover abilities from her narrative to get grand slams and weird pancakes)

She keeps up with whoever is interested in keeping up with her. She knows she's not exactly a popular person for a majority of the R1 cast, but she writes Natalie and Jezebel specifically, and she wouldn't turn down talking to everyone's favorite French Jesus. If you have kept up with her or even just seen her briefly, she's informed you that she's picked a new name, and it is Mio Maneki. She did this a few years ago and she likes it very, very much.

Summary: Went back home with Steven, and now alternates between spending time with the Diamonds, and coming down to Beach City to visit Steven and babysit the SQUIPnel (but let's be honest, she's also baby) .

Spinel as a largely free spirit, has taken to traveling to visit everyone, every once in a while at least. But she'll always announce herself before she does.

Summary: Jez and Nat have just finally graduated from college!!! Jez went all the fuck in with a theater/creative writing double major (and maybe a religious studies minor because it was uh. that part was very easy for her.), and did very well for herself! She's working on finishing up her Faust, and also uh. Planning her wedding to Natalie Goodman! They were engaged last Denny's trip, now they're finally out of school and it's time!! She may not be a demon anymore but she does still have the nagging fear she's going to burst into flames at the altar.

In general, she's kept tabs on people she likes as best she can! She also very well may have tried her best to be friendly towards R2s if they needed anything, so like. Who's to say who all she knows?

Summary: Since R2 ended, Claudine has been mostly busy getting back to normal at Seisho Music Academy. She visits people on the occasions she has free, and she’s also taken to hanging out at liminal Denny’s either studying or hoping no one’s started another round. She’s also invited all the R2s to every play possible.

Character: Queen Anna of Arendelle

Round: 1
Summary: Living in Arendelle with her husband, Billy. After a year of being married already, they got remarried, because at that point Elsa was the queen. Anna was just happy to be home with her husband and some new family members. She became a mother to Eliza before the events of Frozen 2 happened, after which she is then crowned the Queen of Arendelle with Elsa staying in the north.

After becoming the queen, she has a second daughter with Billy, named Natalie. Like her mother, she is a troublemaker in her own right. While she rules Arendelle, she makes sure there is plenty of family hangout times with as many people who can visit as possible.

After Billy figures out where B went, Anna had things packed for a Denny's trip before he even gets everything out. It's been a while anyways and she wants to know if there's new milkshakes.

Looking for?: Pretty much anyone! Anna knows how rough being stuck for weeks in a less than pleasant place, and she's more than okay listening or recommending what to eat on the Denny's menu.

Summary: Hime still hasn't aged a day since Round 1 and has been basically looping the year. Yes, even if you came with her to her world and you have aged. It's a meta joke about the crossover compilation. But you guys fixed it! So she's still a tiny, but she's not going to be stuck that way forever anymore.

Summary: Lives with the Balladeer in an unspecified house in an unspecified location. Might be a liminal space? Don't worry about it! Definitely visits Arendelle on occasion... wearing a mustache. Everyone knows it's him but at this point they might all be playing along just to make sure he looks as ridiculous as possible. He knows it too, but like... he deserves it. So. In his spare time he's probably read up on a bunch of literary analysis and stuff to try and keep up with Bal, but he's still just cool with the whole Narrator thing, he's not like trying to be one. 🤔 maybe he gets into law... Billy Flynn, he hasn't forgotten you... and not all lawyers are bad, right? Probably. Also joins for the occasional visits with Bal but too much world-hopping makes him motion sick (reality sick?) so he just chills most of the time. Keep an eye out for Westergaard Law Office cause it's definitely coming.... one day.

Summary: Couch surfing across the multiverse. Basically, she's permadead in her canon, so while she's visited and scared the crap out of everyone in her world, she can't really go back there for too long without Breaking Something. (Cain's still in hell where he belongs, at least.) She does her best to visit everyone, even as she goes around with what she's been more recently doing: trying to figure out what's been happening (and visiting other realities while investigating). She learned about something inexplicable happening with Hime's world when R2 crashed Denny's, and has been working with Sailor Pluto to try and, if not solve the problem, then try to pinpoint the origin of the problem in her neck of reality at least. She was in Camp Rock when The Call went out.

She's a frequent customer at the Denny's, so out of everyone in R1, Heather probably sees her the most, followed by Hime. She's still learning about humanity and herself, but she far less stunted than she was in R1.
